Last week, VIVO announced a new smartphone called S1, which is quite different from other S1 but it was released in China in March. The company is essentially using the S1 name for a Chinese device and is completely different from outside China.

However, the new and global Vivo S1 is headed to India, where it will be officially presented at an event on August 7th. The vivo S1 comes with a 6.38-inch 1080p+ Super AMOLED touchscreen, the MediaTek Helio P65 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage, a 16 MP (wide) + 8 MP (ultra-wide) + 5 MP (depth sensor) triple rear camera setup, a 32 MP selfie shooter, and a 4,500 mAh battery. It runs Android 8 Pie underneath vivo’s own Funtouch 9.
