petrol prices, decreasing six paise in Delhi and Mumbai, two paise in Kolkata


The price of petrol has been relieved continuously for the second day. Oil companies again cut petrol prices on Friday, but kept the price of diesel unchanged. In two days, petrol in Delhi has become cheaper by 12 paise per litre. According to Indian Oil’s website, the prices of petrol in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai have declined to Rs 73.29, Rs 75.83, 78.90 and Rs 76.11 per litre respectively. However, the prices of diesel in the four metros remained unchanged at Rs 66.18, Rs 68.29 and Rs 69.36 and Rs 69.90 per litre respectively.

Oil marketing companies have cut six paise in Delhi and Mumbai, two paise in Kolkata and seven paise per litre in Chennai.It is worth mentioning that in the beginning of this month, while presenting the General Budget 2019-20 in the Lok Sabha on July 5, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had announced an increase of excise duty and cess of rupees one rupee on petrol and diesel. the price of petrol and diesel in the country increased by about two and a half rupees the next day on the announcement of an increase of 2.5 rupees.
