Nitin Menon, who is the lone Indian in ICC’s Elite board of umpires, is accepted to have left the IPL 2021 bio-air pocket to get back to Indore. Menon’s better half and mother have tried positive for COVID-19, as indicated by reports.
“Indeed, Nitin has left as his close relatives have COVID-19 and he is right now not in a psychological state to direct games,” PTI cited a BCCI official as saying. Previous Australian quick bowler Paul Reiffel in the mean time, has gotten back a couple of days back because of nervousness about the Australian government not permitting departures from India.
“Nitin has a little kid to care for as his mom and spouse have tried positive while Reiffel educated BCCI that he fears not having the option to return home because of the Australian government’s choice forbidding all departures from India. “The BCCI previously had a few neighborhood umpires as back-up so they will direct in games in which Menon and Reiffel were planned to stand,” a BCCI official was cited by The Indian Express.
