Tata Tigor EV has been launched in India and will be available in XM and XT variants. Their price has been kept at Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 10.9 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi, TCS and government FAME incentives) respectively.
Tigor EV is currently made available for fleet operators and FAME subsidies will be available only for vehicles that will be used for public transport or who will register for commercial use. Tigor EV has been given a government incentive of 1.62 lakh under the FAME India Scheme Phase II.
Tata’s first all-electric vehicle Tiger will be available in EV Xm and XT variants and will feature three exterior colours – White, Silver and Blue. There are basic safety equipment such as Dual-front airbags, ABS, rear parking sensor, over-speed alarm and all the new safety features that are compulsory from July 1 have been given.
Tigor EV has been introduced with a 16.2kWh battery pack, which generates a power of 41hp and a torque of 105Nm through a 72V, 3-phase AC induction motor. Tigor EV can be charged up to 80% in standard 6 hours from the standard wall socket. The company claims that the DC 15kW Fast Charger can be done in 90 minutes.
Tata claims that this car can be operated up to 142km in single charge. The company is offering a three-year / 1.25 lakh KM warranty with this electric car with the battery pack.
