In an interview after the launch of the Honor 9X series, Honor president, Zhao Ming confirmed that we will see a 5G Honor device launch by the end of the year. In a question he said, the phone has already entered testing and its development is nearing the final stages. Ming reiterated that China will be launching 5G in 2019, so Honor will bring their own device which will take advantage of the next generation networks. The upcoming phone will rely on developed 5000 5G modem.
It can be rech upto 4.6Gbps on the main frequency band and upto 6.5Gbps on the high-frequency band. Ming confirms that the performance will be excellent, but the design will lead to a new standard in phone production.
